Isn't it great to be around people who, you feel, are truly authentic? It can be quite a refreshing experience for those who are on the path to spiritual enlightenment.
I think the reason we feel this way, is because when you've been committed to the journey of awakening, you have committed to going deep within yourself, you've lifted all the veils, torn down your walls, removed all of the labels and attachments you had, then you were left with the pure, raw, sovereign, holy, authentic YOU.
This sometimes can be a frightening and bleak phase of enlightenment, because we have been conditioned to distract ourselves from the truth, rather than facing it head on.
At the same time, this is an exciting place of pure light, love and joy! Being the observer of all of the underlining truth within yourself, to realize that you are pure love, that you are the light and you are connected to everything in the universe. That real you, that authentic you, is an extension of God.
So this is why some of you find it difficult or unsettling to be around those who only seem to care about things like purchasing the next best gadget and who they voted for on last nights singing competition tv show.
This is why we love being around those souls who are truly authentic. So for all those encounters, we will be grateful.
All shallow roots must be uprooted, because
they are not deep enough to sustain you.
